Academic rigour
The traditional disciplines of scholarship and study are central to life at Stewart's Melville. Boys are exposed to a range of intellectual challenges and subjects, learning from committed and talented teachers.

Curriculum
Whether they are learning in class, laboratory or workshop, we expect high standards from our boys. Underpinning all disciplines is a focus on excellence in literacy, numeracy and presentation of work.

Preparation for life
Of course we expect boys to gain excellent exam results and qualifications, which will open doors to careers suited to their talents, but we place as much emphasis on developing versatile minds, analytical skills and the determination to improve - the keys to a truly fulfiling life.

Twinned with Mary Erskine girls
Alongside the academic side of life, boys are offered many opportunities to challenge and enjoy themselves on the sports field, through creative endeavour and in outdoor pursuits. Here they will benefit from our close twinning with The Mary Erskine School, allowing them to form firm and lasting friendships with girls of their own age.
